SHEBARIDESAUS, SUMMARY -

Fuel is one of the top concerns for traveling Australia. Run out of fuel and you will find yourself in hot water quickly. Being new to the Outback lifestyle meant I needed to plan up to 2-3 days ahead for fuel. I carried 3x 5L petrol cans with me (I only used max 2 at a time) to supplement my 15L sportbike tank. Distance: 990km Dep: 530am Arr: 630pm at Broadford, 8pm in Southbank (home) Riding is the greatest escape. Anyone who spends most of their time on two wheels will tell you that. The first time I ever pulled throttle was on my Ninja 250 to get onto a highway, and I remember the feeling like it was yesterday. Distance: 166km Dep: 930amArr: 3pmRiding long distances is easy once you get used to it. It's the moments between rides that make traveling alone challenging. Throughout the trip, there are conversations I'd have with the locals, or smaller incidences that I don't write about. Travel will always make you see another perspective of things. Leaving Melbourne was hard, but I think I was always distracted by the excitement of the upcoming adventure of the day. I'll never be sad that I did the ride. In fact, it will probably be the single best thing I've done in a long time....
